Daniel Milstein is the Chief Executive Officer of Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group, a post he has held for over a decade.

Mr. Milstein led Gold Star to Inc. magazine’s coveted 500 Fastest Growing Companies list during one of the worst recessions the United States history. Gold Star was listed as the 349th fastest-growing private firm in America.

Gold Star was established in 2000 and now employs over 500 people within 35 offices throughout the United States. The company is currently ranked as the 53rd largest residential lender in the country.

Under Daniel’s leadership, the Greater Detroit area company has become the 14th fastest-growing financial services company by producing revenues that were up 712% from 2005 to 2008. Gold Star has also been selected as one of the top places to work in Michigan by the Detroit Free Press for the past three years.

Within the financial field, Mr. Milstein worked his way up from assistant consumer lending manager, general manager, and underwriter, to becoming Chief Operations Officer within various financial institutions in the 1990s.

He has since been honored by numerous publications including the Scotsman Guide, in which he was ranked the No. 1 Loan Officer in the United States for the past two years. National Mortgage Professional Magazine lists Mr. Milstein as one of the 40 Most Influential Finance Professionals in the United States. Crain’s Detroit Business Magazine also selected him as Detroit’s Top 40 Executives under 40 list and Mortgage Originator Magazine honored him as a Top Originator. Mr. Milstein’s achievements have not gone unnoticed internationally, as Australian Broker Magazine touted him as Best Mortgage Banker in the United States by in 2005.

Mr. Milstein is widely known in the community, serving on various business and philanthropic organizational boards. He currently serves on the Cleary University Board of Trustees and various other boards throughout the country.

A graduate of Cleary University, Mr. Milstein received his bachelor’s degree with Cum Laude honors in business management and finance. He is also the bestselling author of The ABC of Sales: Lessons from a Superstar.
